Track Days
Lotus has always been famous for the way its cars perform on the racetrack and we warmly continue that tradition with Lotus Colorado's track days. For 2011 we have one event scheduled, June 5th at High Plains Raceway (HPR). All skill levels are welcome. In fact, many first timers are delighted to find they not only enjoy the speed and excitement, but the skills they develop make them better and safer street drivers. Every LOCO track day includes available instruction on the fastest way around the track from several of our members who race on the tracks we visit.

2013 Lotus Colorado Track Days at HPR
Lotus Colorado will be participating in 2 track days this year. Both will be in conjunction with CECA (Colorado Exotic Car Association) at High Plains Raceway. Registration will be through CECA.
Dates will be:
- June 29, 2013
- September 28, 2013
CAMA and the HPR management team have made many improvements to HPR including a covered shelter structure (to reduce exposure to the sun, wind, rain, snow, etc.); real bathroom facilities with running water, and a fuel depot with racing fuel on-site and shower facilities. The large amount of "down time" required to exchange corner workers has been eliminated with a switch to a paid corner worker crew provided by the track. This change provides us with at least an additional hour of real track time. The entry fee is $160.00 per car. There is no additional charge for extra drivers. Assignment of drivers to groups based upon experience and ability proved very successful and will be continued. Come out to HPR for another fast and fun event.

Registration Deadline is June 24th
This event is organized by CECA, Colorado Exotic Car Association
The following should clarify some safety questions you may have if you have not previously run with CECA:
- Roll Bars - required on open top cars. Cars with factory roll over protection e.g. Elise meet the requirement, Elan and Elan M100 do not.
- Fire Extinguishers - not required on street cars, but required on modified cars or race prepped vehicles
- Headlights - glass lenses must be taped, plastic lens covers do not need to be taped.
- Tech Inspection - any competent mechanic may sign off on tech
- Open wheel cars will not be permitted to run.
- The Lotus Seven is considered a closed wheel design and will be allowed to run.
- Mandatory: Drivers and Passengers are required to wear long pants, long sleeved shirts, and closed toe shoes
while on track.

General Information: Pre-registration for this event is required. Participation will
be limited to 60 cars. Notice of acceptance of registration will be e-mailed to registrants
prior to the event, but will be subject to final approval upon inspection of the
