We will start Saturday June 28 at Johnson Village where we usually rendezvous, depart about 10:00 and then proceed together
to Montrose over Cottonwood Pass and US 50. I have a group rate of $110 for the Days Inn in

Day 2, Sunday the 29 th , we will go down to Ridgeway, through Naturita and the spectacular run
on CO 141to Gateway and back through Grand Junction. The ones who want to be back in the
Front Range that night can take I-70 straight back while the rest of us meander on CO 65 and the
451/2 road to an overnight in Battlement Mesa/Parachute and come home over Independence

A queen suite will be $84 plus tax and a limited number of King suites at $94 plus tax. This
room block expires on Thursday June 19, 2025 so book NOW if you wish to go on this drive.
Therefore, I have planned a route through Gateway and over Cottonwood and Independence
passes. It will be attached as part of a complete Route Plan soon as a Word document. This entire
Route Plan covers all three days so discard the third day if you are only going to be with us for
the weekend when you get it. Please print it out for your personal use.
We will meet at our usual rendezvous spot just east of Buena Vista at the Shell station in Johnson
Village on US 24/285 prior to 10:00 AM on Saturday June 28 th .
Since the folks from north of the Palmer Divide are so scattered, I’ll leave it to each of you to get to Johnson Village in time to
depart from there at 10:00 sharp after your bathroom break, coffee refill and any fueling needed.
For the Colorado Springs folks, we will depart Rudy’s BBQ at 31 st Street and US24 at 8:15 to be
on time for our rendezvous at Johnson Village. If you want to join us there you are welcome to
do so, or meet at Rudy’s and come in a bunch with us.
This is a three day drive, but has an option to return home on Day 2 if you need to get back early.

The detailed routebook for our upcoming drive is now complete. If you are going on what I believe is the 15th Colorado Good, please send me an email at lotusross@comcast.net letting me know you have made your hotel reservations and whether you will be participating for the two day or three day drive. When I get your notice I will send the detailed routebook which you can print out or put on your device as it will include Google map links.

As of noon June 19 I have only six cars going on this drive. I have committed to 15 hotel rooms at each of the hotels and those blocks expire tomorrow, so, if you plan to go with us, MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS TODAY!!
